Rain stops for U2

After raining for most of the day, the weather managed to cooperate for the U2 concert on Moncton’s Magnetic Hill – the final stop on the band’s two-year 360 degrees world tour.

The rain finally stopped by about 5-pm – not before leaving behind some muck – and the opening bands started playing a short time later.

By the time U2 took the stage, the sky was clearing and more than 75,000 fans took to their feet in excitement.

The event will likely go down in the books as one of the biggest and best concerts ever staged in Moncton.
