Cold air filters in after storm

Wintry scene in Westchester, NS, 06 Oct 2011 (NS)

The coldest air since May in Greater Moncton has enveloped the region in the wake of this week’s fall storm.

Temperatures were so cold along Nova Scotia’s Cobequid Pass that several centimetres of snow fell early this morning and highway cameras showed a wintry scene at Westchester.

Snow flurries could be seen briefly in Greater Moncton this afternoon and a frost warning has been issued for SE New Brunswick tonight.
