TWN predicts ‘typical’ Canadian winter

The meteorological winter of 2011-12 (December, January, February) is expected to be fairly normal across much of Canada according to forecasters at The Weather Network.

The La Nina weather pattern – which can often bring wide swings in temperature and precipitation from coast to coast – is expected to be a factor again this winter although somewhat weakened from last year.

For Atlantic Canada…

TWN predicts it will be a normal winter for most of the region in terms of temperatures and precipitation.

Southern Nova Scotia including the Halifax area will be warmer than normal.
