The average monthly temperature in June was slightly below normal in Greater Moncton breaking a warmer than normal trend that actually began one year ago – monthly temperatures have not been below normal since June 2011.

The first part of the month was exceptionally cool with a couple of days that failed to reach a daytime high of 10 Celsius and overnight lows for the first half of June were chilly.

Many days were mostly cloudy although those clouds did not produce much precipitation except on the 26th when more than half of the monthly rainfall fell setting a new record for the date.
