Solar winter begins

Have you noticed how dark the days seem right now?

Well that’s because we have entered solar winter in the Northern Hemisphere which runs from early November to early February.

Solar winter is the darkest quarter of the year, where daylight is shortest.

In the Northern Hemisphere, over 50 percent of the area is in darkness at any one time.
