Chilly morning across NB

Temperatures did fall into single digits across New Brunswick this morning and even slightly below freezing in northern parts of the province.

However, most urban areas avoided frost including Greater Moncton where it fell to 4.1°C with the record being 2.0°C from 2000.

Edmundston was the cold spot in the province dropping to -1.3°C which is a light freeze and is damaging to tender plants.

Environment Canada says more seasonal values will return today but another chance for frost is possible early next week.
