Shortly after 8:30 this morning, a rare tornado warning was issued in central New Brunswick for an area from Stanley to Blackville.
Environment Canada says a severe thunderstorm moving through the area with funnel clouds was capable of producing a tornado.
The most severe storm cells were tracked near Boiestown.
The tornado warning was in place for more than half an hour.
Meteorologists say tornadoes in the morning are extremely rare with most occurring in the late afternoon and early evening.
