Summer it seems we hardly knew ya!
Fall officially arrived early this morning in New Brunswick with the autumnal equinox at 4:50am ADT.
The sun is now located just above the equator and day and night are about equal.
The nights will continue to get longer throughout autumn.
The first day proved summer-like in Greater Moncton with a daytime high of 25.8°C and a humidex of 32.

Cooler, fresher air moved into the Maritimes this weekend following the passage of a cold front.
Saturday’s daytime high of 18.1°C in Greater Moncton was the chilliest daily maximum since 01 July.
Sunday’s morning low was 5.2°C which was the coolest since 25 June.
Forecasters say the fall-like weather won’t last long with more summer-like conditions expected by midweek.

The fine fall weather is continuing in Greater Moncton with a summer-like high of 24.4 C yesterday which ties the record from 1946.
Record highs were set across New Brunswick with the hot spot being Kouchibouguac at 25.9 C.
Today, Greater Moncton reached 23.9 C which once again ties a record, this time from 1970.
